O Christmas Tree
We finally got our tree yesterday. So much for getting ready for Christmas right after Thanksgiving this year.

Fall

We have been enjoying nice fall weather around here this past week. Tony, Elijah, Aunt Denise and I all went apple picking a couple weeks ago. Eli seemed to enjoy it, staying awake the whole time and looking all around. We got lots of Macs and Cortlands and have been enjoying apple crisps and apple pies.
Elijah really enjoys being outdoors. He goes for walks in the woods with his papa and looks up at the colorful trees and watches the leaves fall. He and I had a little outdoor photo shoot and he was quite content just laying in the leaves.
I love this season and wish it would only last longer....unfortunately living here in Maine means winter is just around the corner.

The second week

We are beginning to understand what Elijah needs when he cries... the majority of the time he is crying about gas. He is one gassy baby and gets really uncomfortable. It is hard for his mama to bear sometimes. We are trying some gas drops as recommended by his pediatrician to see if they help. Sleep is up and down. Sometimes he sleeps in 3-4 hours stretches, other nights he is up unless we are holding him.More to come. I want to write out our birth story... but honestly don't remember all the details. I'll get Tony to help and will get my act together soon to get it written.

Things are going well....Lots to learn for both baby and his mama and papa. Will post details soon, when time allows, right now I need to use Eli's nap time to eat breakfast and shower.

Old Friends

I went back to my hometown in CT a couple of weekends ago to attend a friends wedding. It felt more like a reunion than a wedding though, as I got to see a bunch of friends I haven't seen in years. We all grew up together and were a tight knit group for years, but as we got older, lost touch with each other. Part of the reason communications dwindled could have been that we all dispersed across the country. We started in Connecticut and between us have lived in Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Virginia, Washington, California, New Mexico, and Florida. It was great to see everyone though, most of us married now. Hopefully we will do a better job this time round at keeping contact with each other.

Weekend in Vermont

We spent last weekend in Vermont to attend and celebrate Tony's cousin Caitlyn's graduation from University of Vermont. His family rented a log home in Shelburne which about 9 of us stayed in. The drive out was great as we spent a lot of time going through the white mountains. Unfortunatly, I didn't get any great photos. We spent a day walking around in Burlington, which is a cool city. We also toured Magic Hat brewing company, which was having a party when we went. There were live bands, entertainers, free food, and of course beer. Tony happily went home with a couple of growlers of beer.
