The Girls

Here are our chickens. There are 7 in all and we hope they are all hens. No names yet. They all have they're own personalities and get excited when people are around. When I came home from work yesterday they all ran up to the fence to greet me. I dont have individual pics of everyone yet but here's what I have. They are aruacanas, cochins, golden comets, silverspangled something, and maybe a white rock,,,, dunno, i'm still learning.

F-ing Coop

Never again will we build a chicken coop together. The one day project turned into a 2 week hell. I think Tony and I were ready to throw punches. After countless chicken wire cuts, continous head bumps off the rafters, and near heat stroke, it is finally finished. Tony worked in the rain and at night by flashlight to get it done. And it came out pretty damn good. Time to get the f-ing chickens.

We're In

We moved in sometime around may 25th. The actual move wasn't as bad as I was expecting, maybe because Tony did more of it than me. Moving the boys was not so fun. Bodhi cried the whole ride until we were about 5 minutes from the house. Once there he settled right in and Thera took on the role of the freaked out kitty, hiding for the next few days. The first two weeks were 95% rainey days, lots of back and forth drives from Harrison to Bath, and a visit from mom. Now, almost a month later, things are starting to settle down. The sun has been out for the last two days, and we are both burnt to a crisp. Here are some new pics:
